Barefeet has joined forces with Grassroot Soccer in a mighty partnership to work with young people at risk of going on the street
When theatre met soccer a beautiful marriage of activity and action took place with 1,500 children in five different communities around Lusaka.
The 10-week programme combines the skills and methods of sport and theatre to engage young people in a life-skills programme to promote positive choices and decision making, as well as raising awareness about issues such as HIV/AIDS. The project started in March and runs until February 2010 in Kamwala, Kamwala South, Mthendere, Kanyama and Garden.
