The ‘Me and My World’ module has now kicked off in style. Barefeet facilitators in 5 cities will allow over 2,000 children to follow the adventures of Dr Mkandawire as he battles to save the planet.
Dr Mkandawire is a time traveller who was bestowed a magic compass by a dying tribesman deep in the Amazon rainforest. Dr Mkandawire must enlist the help of the Barefeet children to assist him in his quest to save the planet. It’s no easy task with melting ice caps, deforestation, pollution and energy waste to deal with. But before we can tackle these global issues the team must learn the most important lesson of all…. how to look after ourselves. Will Dr Mkandawire and the Barefeet team manage to pull off this massive challenge that has been left to them? Will the 12 weeks they have to complete it overwhelm them? And will we ever manage to escape those evil Animafwafwa’s??? Stay tuned!
